THE RAINBOW CIRCLE HARROGATE
My name is Terry Nelson, and along with my wife Kathryn, have been developing Physical Mediumship in our home circle 'The Rainbow Circle' for sixteen years. Our Guide and Gatekeeper in the World of Spirit 'Chief Red Cloud' has been with us from the very beginning. He, along with Kath's Father (in Spirit) 'Dick' who has also been with us from day one, have guarded and guided us through the years as we developed this gift from the Spirit World.
We are an 'Energy' circle (non-ectoplasm), and use a table in our circle for communication with Red Cloud and the Spirit team. In the early days this was very slow with mostly simple yes/no answers from Spirit through the table as it tilted. As the years passed, we, along with Spirit, turned this into a very fast and efficient form of communication using the alphabet system, so fast in fact, that I sometimes have trouble keeping up with Spirit as they talk through the table.
On day one we just had the table. After several years we were allowed our first trumpet which just sat there for another couple of years before Spirit levitated it above our heads. Today, after many years of working with our Spirit team, we have varying forms of phenomena occurring in each sitting, from trumpet phenomena to part-materialization of Spirit hands etc.
We have also had several instances of Direct Voice through our extra large trumpets (megaphones as Dick calls them) in the last few weeks, and this is getting stronger as the weeks pass. Spirit also allow us to film in red light at various times throughout our seances as phenomena occurs - this is mainly the levitation of the table, but Spirit inform us that it is their intention to fully materialize in the red light at a future date.
Although we were initially a 'Table Tilting' circle in the beginning, Spirit now communicate using various methods. We are in the very early stages of Direct Voice, but have for a long time had black card and luminous chalk in the seance room that Spirit will write messages on, and just recently, at Spirit's request, we introduced A4 white paper and a pencil with luminous tab on its stem for Spirit to communicate with, and this method is becoming quite popular with our Spirit friends.
We have, in the past, done public demonstrations of our circles progress in association with Zerdin Phenomenal run by Dennis and Rosalind Pearman.
It was very exciting taking our circle out into the public arena, but this was cut short due to illness, but we are now in a position where we are able to demonstrate publicly again along with our home demonstrations.

white Xmas tree with a bell on the top was seated on a table outside of
the circle.
We heard the bell ringing within the circle and thought that Spirit had taken it from the tree
and placed it on circle table. We asked if we could put the red light torch on to look and
when the torch went on, we found the tree on the table also - put there by Spirit.

This evening we had a guest sitter 'Emily Waller' from 'The Bristol Spirit Lodge',
and during the evening a Spirit child called 'Edward' came to the table. He told us
that he was a regular visitor to Emily's home circle in Bristol (He was know as 'Little
Ed' to them). Edward asked for the strips of play-doh and created a lollipop and
a small face (using his fingernails to create eyes nose etc.) out of it.

Spirit Lodge. The energies were marvellous and young Spirit child Luke, after asking for
string and play-doh, tied several sitters hands together, then created various shapes from
the play-doh - putting one on the table and the other two on sitters hands.

her other circle a week previous.

Guest sitter 'Gaynor Garforth' has the table put over her head by Spirit.

Spirit ask for the kite, then after giving us a display by flying it around the circle,
they place it over Joyan Ganley's head.

Spirit bring in the spare pine table, then they place the circle table
on top of it.

Dick (in Spirit) asks for three elastic bands - he then ties the three together
to make one, and loops them over two sitters hands.

Dick (in Spirit) asks for pencil and A4 paper to be put on the circle table.
The pencil has a luminous tab on its stem so we could see has he lifted up the pencil
in the dark and wrote the words 'Onwards and upwards' on the A4 paper. This was
a message for Pam Allinson. Pam later told us that she had received this very message in
her other circle a week previous.

Rainbow sitter 'Alison Sherwood' has a visit from William (in Spirit).
William asks for the black card and luminous chalk and then draws
a shepherd's crook, an apple and the word 'Bless' - Alison
fully understood the meaning of the drawing.

Dick (in Spirit) asks for three ribbons to be placed on circle table. He then
ties them in a bow on three lady sitters wrists - the one above was tied on Doris
Forster's wrist.

Spirit bring in the spare table and after placing it on top of the circle
table they tilt them both to near horizontal - firmly stuck together by Spirit energy.

Dick then writes this message 'James, Peter, Books Bless U' for guest sitters

Guest sitter 'Fay Wright' (The Silver Fox Circle Newcastle) is put inside
the table by Spirit child 'Michael' who is a member of Fay's Spirit team in Newcastle.

Kath holds the table to give energy as Spirit child 'Michael' drops the
table down Fay's body - this was filmed in red light by Terry.

Spirit child 'Michael' asks for the play-doh and string - he then ties all sitters
hands together before creating two shapes with the play-doh. One, a bracelet,
he placed on guest sitter 'Joan's' wrist. When we asked him what the other shape
was meant to be, he said "It's an alien."
